  I am a new resident to the Daytona Beach area & used the Internet to find facilities so I could schedule an MRI requested by the physician who will be managing my care for Ehlers Danlos Syndrome for which I was diagnosised over 17 years ago.
  
  I called this facility to schedule a MRI. The staff was cordial, but were unmotivated to schedule an appointment. They explained they had an "increased volume of patients requesting appointments, including all of Publix".
  
  Was further told it could possibly take up to 1 week to even verify my insurance (!!) and after verification it would be several more days - up to another week - before I could even be seen.
  
  In order to forego the lengthy verification process & expediate scheduling the appointment, I said I would self pay. I was then told they would accept an out of pocket payment, but I "shouldn't try to apply the out of pocket cost to my deductible" --
  
  Finally, before hanging up, I said it might be best if I call the other MRI listings as they might be more helpful....Their reply: "Ok, thanks for calling".
  
  All I simply wanted to do was schedule an appointment but felt as if they just were negative & unmotivated to do so.
  
  Of note: *another area MRI facility verified my insurance within 30 minutes of requesting an appointment & subsequently offered me an appointment to take place in 2 days. In addition, a third facility gave me an appointment immediately by simply taking my insurance information.
